I have 50% winrate in him in ranked at 4.5k mmr, where i've seen supports grouping in first few minutes to look for any rune mines. Too many people don't level up statis (and i saw this one guy level up stats over statis and he was probably the worst techies i've seen myself.). Yes they can deward them if they have a gem, but only one enemy hero can have gem at once (unless they keeping buying one every 7 minutes for reserve or so multiple heroes can hold one). After 30 minutes, you should be planting a statis trap every single time you have it ready or until all possible routes in the area you're mining is set with traps. 1 is map awareness (which means they don't blow up their mines at the right time cause they don't notice someone walked over them). I think a lot of these bad techies players don't know about 2 important things.
